About Browncroft

Our staff is your staff, and the backbone of what makes us great. They are dedicated, nurturing people who have one goal in mind: making your child’s day safe, fun, and educational.

Our commitment to quality care for your children is reflected in their dedication:

  • Our teachers have an average 8 years experience working for us.
  • Each teacher undergoes a minimum of 15 hours of training per year.
  • We provide membership to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Rochester Association for the Education of Young Children (RAEYC).

Browncroft is accepting enrollment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old. Please contact us at info@browncroftdaycare.com or (585) 288-3271.

We offer full day care Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We have individual buildings for age groups:

Infant House: children 6 weeks to 18 months

Main Building: children 18 months to 5 years old

Clubhouse: school age children, kindergarten through 5th grade

Browncroft Day Care has been providing the very best care for children since our inception in 1966. Our goal is to provide an exceptional early childhood education program treating each child as an individual and enriching each child's experience to foster the optimum growth on a social, academic and emotional level. We strive to have each child gain skills in self-help and self-discipline methods. Our program is based on developmentally appropriate practices and enriched with daily music and movement and sign language programs.

We have over four acres of outdoor land which enables the children to have the opportunity for outdoor adventures. Each age group (infants, under 3 years old, 3-5 years, and school age) has their own fenced in area. Our large indoor gymnasium offers large motor opportunities.

The Center is conveniently located 3/4 mile west of the Browncroft Exit, Route 590. The center is in the North Winton Village and the beautiful, historic Browncroft neighborhood and borders the town of Irondequoit. It is central to the downtown Rochester area as well as the suburbs.

All employees are carefully screened and participate in training sessions on child development, discipline and health and safety, etc. Infant and child CPR and first aid courses are conducted by the American Heart Association for our staff.

Holiday and Training Closings

The Center is closed for seven holidays and one training day:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • School Prep & Training (Friday before Labor Day)
